What is a Certified Wildlife Biologist?

According to The Wildlife Society--It  is the only organization that certifies wildlife biologists. The 5-member Certification Review Board performs the peer-review process evaluating applicants educational and experiential background to deem them as Certified Wildlife Biologists (those who have demonstrated expertise in the art and science of applying the principles of ecology to the sound stewardship and management of the wildlife resource and its environment).

In fact, the CWB and AWB certification process is now trademarked.  So, we(they) want to advertise this unique certification program as THE premiere wildlife biologist certification program and promote those practitioners who have met our stringent requirements whenever possible.  Please see the article in the most recent issue of The Wildlife Professional.
